Reader Discussion: Who Should Play Lara Croft In The Tomb Raider Movie?
When you inevitably go see the Tomb Raider film in theaters, who do you want to be starring at? In this scenario, I'm presuming that you are facing the film and didn't walk into the wrong theater. I know it's a complicated question, but who do you want to play Lara Croft?
A few days ago, it was announced that Evan Daugherty would be writing the script for the upcoming Tomb Raider film, and we proceeded to tell Hollywood how to make the rest of the film. The big question that remain is: Who should play Lara? We've previously suggested Olivia Wildeamong others. I think that's a good choice, but I'd add Emilia Clarke (who plays Daenerys Targaryen in Game Of Thrones) to that list. But, while we're at it, why couldn't current Lara voice actress Camilla Luddington also play the part? Yeah, why not have multiple Laras in the film?
Basically, there are a lot of options, so who do you think should play Lara? And while we're at it, who should play her inevitable love interest?
Tomb Raider Reboot Film Gets Writer And Distributor
The planned reboot of the Tomb Raider film series has its first major development in years. The film, which has previously been discussed as a telling of the Lara Croft origin story, now has a distributor and a writer.
Evan Daugherty, who worked on films such as Snow White and the Huntsman, Divergent, and 2014's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, has signed on to write the upcoming reboot. In addition, Warner Bros. is now set to distribute the film, while GK Films and MGM are partnering to co-finance and co-produce. Previously, Lara Croft was portrayed by Angelina Jolie in 2001's Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and 2003's Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life. No actress has been announced to portray the younger Lara Croft for the upcoming film.
The Tomb Raider game series was rebooted in 2013 by Crystal Dynamics. Tomb Raider, which has been met with critical acclaim, told the tale of how Lara Croft became the hardened adventurer she was portrayed as in other entries in the series. Rise of the Tomb Raider, the follow-up to that reboot, hits this year and is our current cover story.

While visiting Crystal Dynamics for our extensive March cover story on Rise of the Tomb Raider, the development team emphasized that they were planning on responding to criticism of the last game by increasing the amount of large tombs for players to explore this time around. We sat down with creative director Noah Hughes to talk about the renewed emphasis on tombs and puzzles and how the design compares to the earlier classic Tomb Raider games.

Five Ways Rise Of The Tomb Raider Improves Upon The Reboot
We're very excited to roll out a month of exclusive content for Rise of the Tomb Raider from Crystal Dynamics to go along with our extensive March cover story. The 2013 reboot really impressed us and we were curious about how the development team is looking to improve on that experience. While visiting the studio, we spoke to the creative director for the Tomb Raider franchise Noah Hughes about the feedback they received on the reboot and the key areas they're hoping to improve for the next entry.

ROTTR Informations about the game
The new details were disclosed in the latest edition of Game Informer magazine, which describes the Crystal Dynamics-developed adventure as both a fight against the savagery of nature and Lara's internal battle with the trauma from her last game.
New adventure takes place in the snowy wilds of Siberia; Natural dangers await as players craft items for survival.Players will have enhanced options for crafting new survival gear along the way. Plants, minerals, metals, clothes, hides, and other rare relics can be collected, though some preparation will be required to amass enough items for crafting. Rise of the Tomb Raider follows Lara one year after her fight for survival in Yamatai. Having discovered on that island what she believed was an immortal being, Lara is now in search of Kitezhm, a mythical city she believes can be found in Siberia, which could provide answers to her question.
"People think she's crazier than she is," said franchise creative director Noah Hughes.

DLC Icy Death Pack:

Yesterday released the first DLC for the Temple of Osiris, Icy Death Pack, and those who ran the game downed the whole package that included among others the new temple Tomb of Hoarfrost. Details of what comprises the Icy Death Pack, you can read our previous article.
To celebrate the release of DLC, the Crystal Dynamics has published the corresponding Dev Diary, and some screenshots.
Those who have purchased the Season Pass, the new church will be available through area Sunken Chapel of Sobek. To get there, follow the bridge on the southeast side of the temple of Osiris. The area Sunken Chapel of Sobek became available earlier in December and includes skulls, energy upgrades and ammunition, enemies and gems. There are also two inputs of the two DLC temples.
Rise Of The Tomb Raider Exclusivity For 4-6 months
